Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Charge battery before first use.

  1. Insert battery: Open battery compartment, insert NP-W126 battery.
  2. Insert memory card: Use SD/SDHC/SDXC card in card slot.
  3. Attach lens: Align red dots on camera and lens, twist clockwise until click.
  4. Charge battery: Use provided charger; full charge takes approx. 2 hours.
  5. Power on: Set ON/OFF switch to ON position.

WARNING! Do not touch mirror or sensor; handle lenses with care to avoid damage.

Basic Operation

Power on camera; follow initial setup prompts.

  1. Set date/time: Use MENU > SETUP > DATE/TIME to configure.
  2. Select shooting mode: Use mode dial (P, A, S, M, Auto, etc.).
  3. Adjust exposure: Use front/rear command dials for shutter/aperture.
  4. Focus: Half-press shutter button for AF; use AF mode selector.

Transfer images and remote control via Fujifilm Camera Remote app.

  1. Enable Wi-Fi: Press Wi-Fi button or MENU > Wireless Settings.
  2. Install app: Download "FUJIFILM Camera Remote" on smartphone.
  3. Connect: Select camera from phone's Wi-Fi list; enter password if prompted.
