Getting Started

Unpack and inspect contents. Charge battery before first use.

  1. Insert battery: Open battery compartment, insert NP-45A battery with correct polarity.
  2. Insert memory card: Format new card in camera before use.
  3. Charge battery: Use supplied charger, charge until indicator turns off.
  4. Set date/time: Power on camera, follow initial setup prompts.

WARNING! Ensure all seals are clean and properly closed before underwater use. Test waterproof function in shallow water first.

Basic Operations

Power on camera; select shooting mode.

  1. Auto mode: Turn mode dial to AUTO for point-and-shoot operation.
  2. Scene modes: Select from SP mode for specific conditions (beach, snow, underwater).
  3. Zoom: Use zoom lever for optical/digital zoom.

Underwater Photography

  1. Select underwater mode: Turn mode dial to underwater icon.
  2. Check seals: Ensure all compartments are securely closed.
  3. White balance: Automatic adjustment for blue water cast.

Care & Maintenance
